The website... conversion... is... FINALLY... complete!  Off-and-on, nearly two-and-a-half years' work.  Needless to say, it was a heavy lift, and we appreciate your patience during the process.  As always, please report any problems / broken links / random errors you spot.

Links to old pages (https://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpages/a.html, for example) will automagically redirect to the new pages, so old links floating around on the Interwebs won't break.

The Acaeum Search Engine, new and improved!  This state-of-the-art search engine has been custom built to incorporate search results from both the main site and the forums -- or from one or the other, as you choose.  Hopefully you'll find it far superior to the old Google-powered implementation.  New results are indexed every night.

Finally, the Periodicals pages have been converted.  We're next tackling Foreign Editions and the Library; the end is in sight!

Fixed the item-page eBay searches, at the bottom of each page; they now take you directly to eBay.

The forum received some new button graphics and a light mode / dark mode switch at the upper right.

As a reminder, the Foreign and Expanded Descriptions pages have not yet been converted for any of the indexes.  To view them, you'll need to go through the old pages via the old indexes, linked below.  Hopefully they'll be finished soon!

All scans on the new Miscellaneous and Module pages have been upscaled to four times their original resolution.  The upscaling was done with AI to enhance finer details.  As subsequent pages are converted, their scans will be upscaled as well.

Firefox has evidently fixed whatever technical issue was plaguing the fancy parchment background on all pages, so it's been re-enabled.  Additionally, I've adjusted some of the page fonts and colors for better readability on all browsers.

Articles on the Front Desk have been converted.

We're next tackling the Miscellaneous pages, then the Rulebooks pages, and then the Periodicals, in that order.  If you attempt to access those (old) pages now from the new Indexes, you'll receive an error (should be a 404 missing-page error, but Cloudflare has other ideas and will display some random garbage instead).

We'll notify you here when each of these sections is finished!

Our 25th Anniversary!  Not many sites on the Internet have managed to make it a quarter-century.  To both our grizzled grognards and our bright-eyed newcomers, thank you all very much for visiting, contributing, and helping keep the D&D collecting hobby thriving!  In celebration of this momentous event, we're unveiling a project we've been working on for the past thirteen months, in an attempt to shed our "last millennium" appearance:

Introducing The Acaeum 2 !  The new site design should remain familiar to long-time users, while offering increased readability and functionality.  We're working to update every single page to integrate the most modern techniques in web development, while also removing broken or legacy code.  Please review the How to Use This Site article for a breakdown of what's changed

We'd hoped to finish updating all the site's pages in time for this anniversary, but we've missed the mark.  At the moment, the Indexes and all the Module pages have been completed.  We're next tackling the Miscellaneous pages, and then the Rulebooks, and then working our way through the other sections (Library, Foreign Editions, etc)

Almost all the internal page links have changed.  Therefore, links on a new page (or Index) will point to the correct future link -- in other words, what the page link will be once we've updated that linked page.  So if that linked page hasn't been updated yet, you'll get a 404 error when trying to access it (because it doesn't exist yet).  Links on an old page will continue to point to the old versions of pages, and none of those have been deleted.  A little confusing, and we're sorry about that.  Before too long we'll complete the conversion and this won't be an issue anymore.  I unfortunately have much less free time than I used to, and the conversion process is completely manual and very labor-intensive

The forum will soon inherit the new wood-plank background and parchment texture, as well as a width-limiter for very wide screens and some text-scaling adjustments.  Further "responsive" features are too difficult to add to this version of the forum software (which unfortunately can't be upgraded due to the large amount of critical custom code involved, which would have to be extensively re-written)

The new parchment background texture will only display on Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge).  A simpler texture has been used for Firefox and Safari; in testing, Firefox could display the parchment, but it was slow and choppy; Safari (and mobile browsers) do not correctly support the technology used
