Hi all,
While I'll happily accept any appraisals/estimates of this items value, that's not really what I'm looking for.
I'm posting because I have a copy of X10 which I'm selling on my website. I bought it as a shrinkwrapped copy and believe it to be new and unused. It arrived in shrinkwrap with 2 bands of clear plastic tape wrapped around it. I'm pasting in my description from my store page:
NM (Shrinkwrapped): looks new and unopened, but edges of wrap are cracked and clear packing tape has been wrapped around it
I'm also pasting in the link to the specific page where the item is listed.

You can find links to photos there.
My question to you all is this. Should I continue to list it as is - assuming it is new and the tape was just added to protect the item. Or should I bite the bullet, tear off the plastic and investigate it to insure it is a new unused copy?
My sense of ethics tells me I should open and investigate, but I believe that could cost me with regard to resale. Will I really lose value by taking the plastic off, or because the tape is present and edges are cracked have I already lost that value?
Fire away! I'm curious to see what you think.
