I was going through some storage boxes today to see what I could list on eBay and discovered that somehow this item had become damp at some point on the back and some mold or mildew had started.
The front is in great shape:

But the back of the box is less than spectacular:

The contents are in great shape with unpunched counters and cards:

(the rules of play booklet has two small stains on the cover that looks like rust)
Probably caused by these little buggers:

Although the staples on the play booklet are fine:

First of all, does anybody know how to effectively stop the progress of the mold or whatever it is? The box is completely dry and the stuff on the surface will brush off but I'm not crazy about working a lot around mold.
Secondly, if anybody has the know-how on how to clean this up and are interested in it, please PM me an offer.
Any information would be greatly appreciated! :)
Thanks,
JasonW
