I am considering selling a solid set of OD&D booklets (5th print) to a fellow gamer. I believe they are in very fine to near mint condition. Basically, next to nothing wrong with them at all. I wouldn't personally expect anything more (compared to more than ten OD&D sets in various conditions I have).
The challenge is that it's difficult to know what's a fair price for the booklets only.
I've searched for earlier topics discussing this; the best advice I found suggests a hefty discount on the boxed set price, without saying how much.
The acaeum listed price for a v.fine to n.mint 5th print boxed set is currently around 1200-1400... yikes.
So, what are the three booklets worth?
Is 50% or 33% or 25% of the boxed set price reasonable? What is the collective wisdom on this?
See what they are selling for on eBay. Make sure you only consider "sold" listings, not for sale listings. The smaller your lots are for sale, the better you will do overall. :)
