Probably not the most interesting topic, especially these days, but I seem to have discovered a 2nd printing of the Balboa Games product Instant Bad Guys:

I checked and could not find any discussion of it anywhere(here, ToT or Wayne's Games who also catalogues products these days), so if nothing else I'm putting it here for posterity. This one's cover is lightly different, every other copy I have seen before the cover is filled more fully and with green:




Where as this one is colored in with what appears to be turquoise and not quite as filled in:



The second one could be some sort of a fake, but this seems like it would have to be a pretty elaborate fake, since it's side stapled and seems to have a cardboard style cover like the original. Seems like a lot of effort to fake something like this. Not sure if anyone else has seen one of these out there, but again, just wanted to post it here for posterity, if nothing else.

This could have possibly been a pre-production/test print, too.

I don't believe so, as when you use the close up view of the pictures listed on the auction, it appears to be way too neatly and deliberately done to be someone just coloring it with a highlighter:





I'm obviously not a printing expert, but the black writing and framing on the front and back seems to pretty similar, where I would think that if the front was sun faded enough to basically eliminate the entirety of the green coloration to non-existance, the black would have suffered more fading than it reflects here as a result

Not sure about it being a preproduction.
