I know relatively little about Role Aids or shrink-wrap so I hope to get some advice.

I've been preparing a batch of Role Aids items to list on Ebay.   I had assumed they were new and unused because all of these items are shrink-wrapped and at first glance showed no signs of wear or damage.  Unfortunately as I examined them more closely, I noticed several flaws that lead me to believe they were used and re-shrink-wrapped.

1.  There is a "crease" running from the left side of the cover, down the side:
Crease Front
Crease Side

2.  The edges show signs of wear:
Wear 1
Wear 2

Was Mayfair games known to have production issues that would result in factory damage like shown in the pictures, or am I correct this was re-shrink-wrapped?

Unfortunately, it looks like those were re-shrink-wrapped.  I've never seen their products have that type of wear under the factory SW.

Creases, dents, etc. could still happen after the factory SW process, but not that type of wear.

I would second that they are almost certainly reshrinked.

Almost 20 years ago(I'm assuming 2006, because they included a 2006 product catalog), Mayfair held a huge discount sale, of which I bought pretty much one of everything they were offering at the time.  Most of it came in original shrink and upon looking at what I have(it's still in the box they shipped it to me in), none of the stuff I have that's in original shrink looks anything like that.  Several of the mods and boxes have some smallish creasing along the spines or edges, but nothing like that.

Did the same thing, even though I had collected a lot of the items already.  It was such a great deal, and they were almost all in shrink!

I appreciate both of your comments confirming my suspicions.  I was hoping I was wrong but it seemed highly unlikely.

On the bright side, the contents of this box seem to be complete and are undamaged.  Unfortunately, I now feel it's necessary to open the other Role Aids boxes to I'm listing to verify their contents.
