I honestly thought he was TSR's best writer and hoped that he'd return to RPG authoring some day, the cryptic stories of his alleged accident proven untrue. But Wiki is never wrong, right?

Guys;

Always be suspicious of unsourced stories on wiki. If you refresh the listing the death disappears. Also, someone did this to John Eric Holmes listing a few days ago. Either key D&D figures are mysteriously passing away or someone is jobbing us here.

I refreshed but it didn't go away.  Its not that easy to bring some one back to life Mike.

And being Carl Sargent, we may never know. If untrue, though, perhaps this will prompt him to give the world a wave and say, "I'm alive and fine" which has been a debate for awhile now.

View the history:  http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... on=history

It has been retracted until someone can actually source it.
