So far 6.3 inches as of 4 PM in Dallas for a record for this day.
Over 7 inches here in McKinney, Texas and according to the news a moment ago snow will continue to fall for another 10 hours.

The dogs are loving it.
Playing and running around like puppies.

(We are in the process of removing the Spa/Hot Tub, hence the wire fence to keep the dogs out of the wiring, etc.)

Your dogs are beautiful, Gnat!  And they've got a good use for the hot tub, playing King of the Castle.

Your cat's so furry -- how does he cope with the heat when it's not snowing?

The pawprints are in the snow behind him.  I walked around to the left side of the patio as to not disturb the snow where he was walking.  In the last picture I was trying to get him to trot towards me.  In the summer he loves to run down to the other end of the yard and then sprint back towards the patio.  Makes for some interesting pictures.

With the other three cats, I would have had to toss them most definitely as they didnt even want to come outside.

He spends most of his time in the shade either under the patio awning or under a bench at the other end of the yard.  And most of that time is during the evening after we get home.  He only spends the hottest part of the days outside on the weekends.  But it never seems to bother him.

It's gone now.  Since then about 6 or 7 additional inches of snow on top of what was in the picture.

That is one of my other cats.  Picture was taken with my older, less expensive camera.  Still....not all that bad when you consider she was running towards me at full speed.

Thankfully we are past all this (fingers crossed) but it was pretty bad here a month ago. A few days before Christmas, we had around 2000 cars abandonded on the ring road, as the place became gridlocked, which even made the national TV news stations!
