I'm going to order some more items from Lulu but wondered if there were any discount codes active. I just doubt hohoho is still working.

None that I know of - we usually get publishers and such posting the discount codes on the 'Geek.  One site to check is:

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/lulu.com

Where people put in codes that have worked for them recently - though they obviously fall out of date fairly quickly. The good thing with lulu is that you can try the code an cancel out if things don't work for you ;)

As reported this morning on the 'Geek:

READMORE2010 gets 10% off until the end of January, 2010.

I've not used it and can't confirm but it's from a reliable publisher.

Just for 3 days until 18-Jan-2010... CABIN gets you 20% off at Lulu. That's not a bad discount if anyone has been thinking of picking up some print-on-demand books.

I'll assume at this point you don't need additional codes and will not post more.

Thanks for posting these codes.  Are Lulu prices like hotel rates --- only fools like me pay the rack-rate at hotels and Lulu?  Do new codes come out monthly?

I don't have tons of experience - to be honest my first Lulu order came back in September and since then it seems like they have discount codes that run pretty often and sometimes concurrently (that is, they may email you a 10% code that might last a week or a month but somewhere someone finds out about a 15% or 20% code that runs a few days). I have no idea where some of these special "better" codes come up - but as we have several RPG designers who publish through Lulu they sometimes post these better codes. I usually hold Lulu orders until I see one of the 15% or 20% (only once have I seen 25% off).

Agreed.  Unless you need something right away, you can wait for a 20% off to come around.  They're frequent, but I'm not sure if there is a regular schedule.

There's a 50% discount through tomorrow.

Promo Code: IHEART50 @ lulu.com

Does anyone know if these discount codes would work if I want to get something published through lulu myself?

Check with Publishing Express too, I used them for my FRPG guidelines, and they came out nicely - and was cost effective too!
