I was going through some of my copies of the DMG (in the unpacking stage of my move) and noticed that one copy has a sticker over the TSR product number on the back.

The sticker states a new stock number: 394-51114-XTSR1800.  The original stock number has a 1500 at the end.

Anyone else have this or seen this or know why the product number might have been changed?

That looks like a price encoded in the number. Was previously $15.00, and then became $18.00?

Good call.  It could be something they placed on Canadian books to convert the currency.
