OK, I can't help but ask what the "Farmer" RPG (or boardgame?) is all about. Is it really about farming?

It's a boardgame where players are shepherds using dogs to chase away (not killing, this is Europe

) foxes and wolves and so protect your flock. The dog tokens are irresistibly funny, I have one on my desktop now

Hi,

out of interest, is the Convention mostly in italian, or English?

I know many conventions in different countries use english as a common language, and run most games in English.

Looks like a great time. Some of the costumes are amazing (the Goblin King espescially).

A few of the picture captions referenced DM Magazine. Is that a fan-zine or a "Direct Marketing" trade publication?

Besides some events with foreign guests, for example Monte Cook running sessions of Pathfinder, all events are in Italian. With foreign guests, there is always a translator available, albeit a significant number of people like me know decent English. I have no problem with English, but I like my beloved Italian very much and I frown upon any 'excess' use of English at the convention...

DM Magazine is a magazine entirely devoted to retrogaming, ie classic out of print games (not electronic ones...): RPGs, boardgames, magazines, gamebooks, designers... We publish reviews, interviews (remember the Paul Jaquays one? It was done for the magazine), overviews of entire lines and much more. I am editor of the magazine, along friend Daniele Prisco, and we publish a Special every year entirely devoted to the Lucca Games convention with a massive report (that I'm finishing right now...) and a lot of interviews to (mostly) industry professionals. It's our only foray in the 'current' game industry and it's much appreciated and read (by the convention staff too, albeit they sometimes disagree with us...).[/b]
