Great site - just joined the forum.

I'm approaching 40 now ... been playing a long time now ... mostly AD&D 1E. Originally from UK but I'm over in New Zealand at the moment.

Just started collecting ... but the most interesting stuff I have I got about 25-30 years back when TSR UK used to offer stuff via its 'treasure chest' flyers ... including R1, R2, R3, R4, RPGA3 and RPGA4 which cost me 13quid for the six. I've got all the Imagine magazines in the binders which I guess might be pretty rare? One thing I did pick up recently is a limited edition tournament dungeon "Blasted Land" ... no.970 out of 1000 - anyone any idea if this has any value?

Interesting tale? I've got issues 7+ of White dwarf but the low ones go far too high for me. So I bought the 10yrs white dwarf archive CD off a guy on ebay - turned out to be a copy not an original. OK, so the .pdf's are real but this guy was churning these out at 35quid a pop ... "Corriguand" I think was the seller - he sells lots of stuff but hes banned me from bidding on his stuff now as I reported him to ebay and the local trading standards office (needless to say niether were that interested).

Welcome to the Acaeum. The R1-4 and RPGA3-4 definitely have some value. If they are in good shape $200-$300 each is a good return on your initial purchase price. I've watched a couple of the Imagine sets in Binders go through Ebay and think they would probably hit around 125-150 pounds. Blasted Land with the cover folder intact is probably about $200-$250 as well.

The White Dwarf archive is not really an official product released by GW. The DVD inside is a burned one so most likely the ones that Coug is selling are as legit as they come.

You'll be glad to rid of him. There is a LOOOONG thread devoted completely to him and his foolishness. I recommend you ban him as well.

A set of Imagines (incl. the Special Edition) in blue binders went for £200+ on eBay a year or so ago. There have been sets since, but mostly they get split up. The value is in the blue binders and the Special Edition, and the issues 1-30 are easy for anyone po pick up. And of course, unless your selling within NZ/Oz, the shipping of such a weight becomes a major factor.

The R and RPGA's are worth a fair bit, and seem to have a relatively stable price regardless of the wider economic market. And Blasted Lands in an untorn folder will top $100 easily.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Yeah, I'd say Mark might be a little on the high side, but just ask my wife, I have a terrible sense of how much things should cost.
