Yes.  The Finieous Diorama. Proceeds to benefit FHNB.  $510.  And yes, it came with a "Kask University" hat, specially made for Tim, and the only one now held by someone who does not have the last name of "Kask".  However, it has been inscribed, "This it the last hat you get from me."  A threat?  A promise?  An omen?  I know not.  But I do think I may let the next hat (or other article of clothing) pass on to others . . . .    

Other non-auction acquisitions included a copy of Tim's special adventure, High in the Hellgate Mountains, and two Gamescience Hexbooks (just try to find hexpaper these days; even Crazy Egor came up empty).

I did not buy, nor even bid on, the 2nd print brown box (which, after a hard-fought battle between Blackmoor and Stratochamp, went to the latter), Brian Blume's TSR Founder's Day Dragon (which went to the Burntwires), or Brian Blume's 10th anniversary chess set (which went to Malc).

As a general matter, there were definitely bargains to be had.  Though it is worth noting that many of the items sold during the charity auction went for more than retail.  There were even a few bidders who, after winning an item, told the auction to put them down for more.

It appears to be a first. It is not in shrink but it has never been used. It is very minty with nothing detatched or assembled.

I have wanted one for some time, but they always seem to go for more than I want to spend - I just want to check it out having missed the boat all those years ago.

They expansion pack is also mint and has the lead miniatures.



But my crowing achievement was the First Printing TSR Top Secret. It may not sound like a big deal, but I have been trying to get a verified first print (not as easy as it sounds) in excellent to mint condition. This one meets all my expectations. The old school percentile dice are minty and unused.    There are three printings and the second set uses the same box as the first so it is hard to tell the difference on ebay.

Then you got a great deal at $15. For the last year or so on Ebay, I've seen them go for around $50 each (various conditions, but the price was around $50).

So for $20 more, I got a near-mint set of screens. And if you want to sell me any for $15 each I'd be happy to buy them from you.
