Hi guys (and occasional girl).

My work is sending me to a conference in San Francisco (and possibly some meetings around there as well), so I might be mooching around on the left hand side of the US for a week or so in mid September.  Anyone recommend a good gaming shop to visit, or interested in meeting up?

Sorry to hear about that, Steven.  San Francisco is hopelessly overfull of cultural and ethnic diversity, literary history, intriguing shops, striking architecture, and rich atmosphere.  I would imagine you'll regret having made the trip after about an hour in the city.

But if you have a chance, be sure to visit Gamescape on Divisadero.  Aside from having some good oop stuff (though hit and miss, obviously), it's in a really cool part of town...the hold hippie digs.

Have fun!  I'll be there myself in December.   :D

Yep, Gamescape is your best bet in SF, and if you can get down to Gator Games in Palo Alto (~35 min drive or so?), then you should visit there too.  If you get down to San Jose (~70 mins south), there are several good used bookstores that carry RPGs in the area there.

Keep me posted on your travel dates:  it's unlikely---but not impossible---that I may be heading out that way for a week of work in the office, and if it would work out, I'd be happy to get together again :D

Cheers guys.  I will be there for a week and a bit, so will definitely check it out. Will also be down in Palo Alto for a day (and there is always time to stop by a game store).  :D

Be sure to pass through Sausalito.  And stop in at Tiburon Tommy's, if they're still open for business that is.
