Every year, I see a long line of folks camping out from early thursday morning to be the first in that store. I've got the free time this year to do that, if anyone thinks it is worth it.
I'm assuming they do it to snag any deals on
RPG stuff? Anyone with more knowledge?
I've done it once or twice in the past.
If you're really dedicated to grabbing stuff at low prices, go for it.
However
a) If you aren't early enough to get in with the first group (they only allow a set number of people in at once - after that, no one enters until someone leaves), the people who were in first won't be leaving until almost all the steals are picked clean. If you want to get in with the first group, plan on being in line a
really long time.
b) I've heard the auction tries to not put everything out at once and rotate fresh stock in a random points to reduce the 'everything worthwhile is gone in the first hour' syndrome. I quit devoting time to the store, so I don't know how well it's worked.
