If Mr. Allston is up to it, and recoverd, he is definitely someone we have our eyes on for NTRPG Con II.  Although he's now pretty high-tone (published author, etc) I'm hoping that he'll want to stay close to home the next year or so for medical reasons and we might be able to snag him.

He might be a rather high brow person as a special guest for the NTRPGCON, but even so some of the photos for the auction items are not even at the basic level as to clarity.

I could do better with my Walmart Special Digital.

Last year he was on a book tour for his new Star Wars book when he had a heart attack in April.  So his plate was pretty full I imagine.  Maybe since he'll still be taking it easy and recovering (I can't imagine he'll be back on his book tour anytime soon) he might think about a short trip.

I do see that Armadillocon (an Austin SF convention) is sponsoring his auction; he might be beholden to them for this reason and appear there next year (they always have their show in August).  Oh well, we can always ask and see what happens, never hurts to try.

N4 rocks!

A good writer (he also did the DMDK: the Dungeon Master's Design Kit), and I wish him the best. I would love to send donations of hawthorn, brandy, garlic, red wine, and olive oil if I could. Maybe it sounds sorta walnuts, but it would be nice if people could pay their medical bills with these things.

Hmm.

Hey Aaron, wherever you are, get well soon!

John

PS. I've read someone else (a Finnish gamer) remark that N4 was the best adventure ever made. I cannot say which is the best (D&D is Only as Good as the DM, and things depend on the day, and the Players as well), but I think it's a crime that N4 doesn't have a high print run like those early classics.
