My recollection, Guy, is that they came in a case similar to the TSR Minigames and that they weren't shrinked at all but were held together with the pinching-buttons or whatever at the corners of the cases, but I could be off on that.

It does look like 2 pieces/halves to the outer case (although it could be one piece hinged across the bottom), and there's definitely shrink there.

Anyone else?

None of my sets have any top piece, though they also are not shrink wrapped.

I bought my cards from three different sources at three different times wrapped and unwrapped and they are all like I described.
