Can someone help me with the contents of this set. I just picked up a set, which appears unused, however it seems to have far fewer than the 33 cardstock buildings it says it includes.

The set contains:

- 64 page book
- 2 21" x 32" fold-out colour maps showing a village plan
- 4 joined cardstock cutout sheets, each with six segments (making a total of 24 individual cardstock sheets). These have the piececodes

9262XXX1401 (Buildings 1 & 2)
9262XXX1402 (Buildings 2 to 4)
9262XXX1403 (Buildings 5 & 6)
9262XXX1404 (Buildings 7 to 9)

I would assume that the set is incomplete, however, the box is thin and completely filled - I don't know how you would any more cardsheets into the box.

All the sites I have found that mention this just state the 33 buildings as printed on the back, but do not mention piece codes or box contents.

I can't be of much help, though thanks for the part numbers on those cardstock sheets. Checking other auctions it seems they list the back of the box as is, or mention only 4 cardstock sheets.

Yes. I saw that of course. But both the Acaeum and Adrian's site just copy the information printed on the back cover which states: "Inside this folder are 12 different street layout patterns that can be combined in a multitude of ways, plus 33 buildings of various shapes and sizes...... "

The strange thing is the set seems to be full - but I can't see how there are 33 buildings? And with those 4x6 sheets comprising just 9 buildings, I don't see how 33 would even fit in the box.

There may be an explanation in the book. I might have a read through it this lunch time. Perhaps the 9 buildings can be re-arranged to make 33? Or perhaps I am missing sheets with higher piece codes?

Your set is complete, I can confirm. You'll have to cope with that.

I am now obsessed with the puzzle of the 33 buildings! It gives no clear explanation in the book and looking at the cutouts, it is hard to get the number 33. I may buy a set just to pull apart and solve this conundrum. :joker:

Out of curiosity, how many places for buildings are laid out on the 2 maps?

Is it possible that any of the buildings are really minor (outhouse, one room cottage, etc)?

The maps are doubled sided and each is designed to be cut into 3 strips. Counting both sides, these strips are labeled A to L. There are a total of 131 rooms on these twelve labeled segments.

But each sheets varies. For example sheet 'G' seems to comprise 3 buildings but 8 rooms. Sheet 'H' 1 building with 15 rooms. My initial tally of spaces for buildings is 73!

It's late here now, but I may try again tomorrow to see how to achieve the magical number 33!
