How much are my Dragon Magazines Worth?

Recently found some old Dragon Magazines that I acquired back in the day. Completely forgot I had them. Numbers about 158 to 169, or thereabouts. 1989-1990. Pretty much perfect condition.

Are these worth anything?

Short answer: Nope. They are literally worthless.

Basically nothing. You could try and sell them for $1 each but it very well might take years.

If you want to try and sell them on eBay, I'd list them in lots of ten or twenty and ship by Media Mail. Of course, some post office workers interpret the Media Mail Policy in such a way that this attempt would be not allowed. Other Post Office workers allow every old magazines where the ads are no longer valid as O.K. I'd check with the Post Office first and make sure you work with the same postal worker (which would be tricky).

The other method is list them in the classified section here and on other D&D forum sites, like Dragonsfoot.net.

The bottom line, and as has been said before, it's probably not worth it.

This may have never happened in the history of the Acaeum....but I logged in as Aneoth and posted under his name

Aneoth was over this weekend to play D&D, and he checked his Acaeum PMs while here on my computer. I never logged him out....

Would have been funny if I had gone on one of my patented wacky rants and it would have gone under Aneoth's name...then again, Aneoth has enough wacky rants to go around :lol:

Hopeful folks oft bring boxloads of high-number dragons (150+) to the GenCon auction. At the end of the weekend, the auction takes all the unsold unclaimed games... but leaves these mags for the cleanup crew.

So if you want lots of free high-number Dragons to flesh out your collection, do drop by Sunday afternoon.

I was wondering when I had made that first aneoth post above.
Confused me for a while. :lol:

But since I agreed with whoever made that post (I figured it had to be Mike though) I did not see any reason to deny having made it myself.
At best they are going to bring a buck and that makes them almost worthless.
As a lot they may bring enough to justify the E-Bay listing and shipping expenses as long as the buyer is not overseas....

Been selling my 10-year subscription plus others individually bought for the last several months. My last two lots of 7 are up on EBay now. Most of the lots sold for $5.99-$6.99 single bids, with a couple of exceptions which went for double. The better auctions were the late 1E-early 2E period, which is not saying much, as one new collector can easily skew the results.

I didn't think they'd be worth much, but I wasn't completely sure.
I don't do ebay at all, so without this site I'm kinda flying blind.

Guess I'll just keep'em for the nostalgia value.
