General collecting/archiving question:
Does anyone have any special tips for putting parts of your collection away in a semi-archived state? I'm running out of room in my gaming closet, and am not prepared to get rid of anything yet, so I'm starting to look at totes for boxed sets and books.
What I'm really paranoid about is (living in the wonderful damp and mildewy Pacific Northwest) my precious collection picking up musty odors, or heaven forbid actual mildew. I will have to store these totes in the basement where it probably won't be - but could be - a problem. What I'm thinking is the plastic 'banker box' sized tote with the lid, but am not sure about the seal on the lid. Does anyone have storage ideas that they use and would like to share?
For example looking at the Staples site,
THIS is what I've got a lot of my bills, etc. in, but
THIS might be a better solution. I do like the legal size, since everything fits pretty snug in it. Does anyone else store parts of their collection in this fashion?
