Hello,

I wonder if the group would mind giving some advice...? I appreciate and respect the collective learning that's gone on, and would appreciate your thoughts....

I have about twenty titles for sale, thought probably nothing of keen interest to this group: some D20, City of Brass Set, 1E common and uncommon in non-collectable shape (i.e. doubles).

I was thinking of a classified here, in case anybody has a hole.

Then what? I know what I have and what a fair price would be...

Should I use an open ebay auction?

...or an auction with BINs?

.... or use a reserve to control the auction?

Also, and I hope I'm not over-thinking this, if I go with ebay, should I use my low FB account to list, or my wife's high FB but non-RPG-friendly ebay store? (she sells clothing :roll:

imagine anything so pedestrian :wink:

)

I'd appreciate any thoughts,

If you have prices in mind I would probably try selling them here or on Dragonsfoot. Next I would probably check the items on Ebay to see if in the completed auctions if they regularly sell or go unsold. That would probably determine if I list them as an auction or in a store with fixed price.

I have been listing a few items recently on Ebay as fixed price auctions - you set the price and its only 35 cents to list it for 30 days.

How much do you want for City of Brass?

City of Brass is gonna head the way of the other sets like the DCC boxes. It's not good enough to get into the RAR and CZ:UW potential price ranges, but it has pedegree of name, a spurious lineage to RJK's original work, and is still a well presented Necromancer boxed set.

If you can get these cheap in shrink (without having to ship them international) then they are worth buying up for a tidy proffit later.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I never have too much problem selling 1E mods for £4-5 on eBay in clean, non-collector condition in the UK. Unfortunately, what with the £ dropping like a stone, I have no idea what that works out at in Canadian dollars.

My advice would be the same to anyone:

Do a little research on ebay, amazon, etc to find out what your items are selling for;

Advertise on the classifieds here and at Dragonsfoot with those prices; classifieds are always a great first step because they cost nothing and take very little time to set up;

Then, if you just want to "get rid" of the items, I would recommend a 7 day auction on ebay ending on a weekend later afternoon/evening. If it isn't a problem to hold on to the stuff for awhile, I'd recommend a fixed price auction (those can last 30 days) at just a little below or just at what the next highest price is on ebay.

Personally, I would never use a reserve (and I have never, 10 years on ebay) unless you really had a specific price in mind and you just wanted to gauge interest.

Just a quick question, if I may - does H2 come with a colour poster-map (like H4), or just the black-and-white 'pull-outs'?
