I purchased the lot the week prior in this auction:

The purchase I made last week has not been voided. He refuses to ship unless I leave positive feedback. He can't access the funds because Paypal has placed a hold on them and he is required to ship prior to the funds being released.

The seller has been reported and hopefully the listing will be taken off.

I was wondering the same thing. If everything was mint, it might be a different story.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I added him to my blocked bidders list.

Truth is worth finding and life is too short to work for money.

I don't know that it's worth $1300 either. If the condition is there it seems like an ok deal to me. What the seller is asking in the re-list is absurd (you need to leave positive feedback before receiving the items). All I can say is I paid for the item. If Paypal wants to hold the funds until after the stuff is received that's his problem. At least he could refund my money prior to re-listing.

I did a cut-and-paste and counted 185 lines of items.

$1200 Best Offer/185 = $6.50 an item. $100 shipping/185 = $0.55 shipping per item. No sales tax. $7 per item is cheap enough for a not-for-resale collection. Some uncommon items are hidden in there, too.

The seller is sanmicus. He has a total feedback of 8 with no feedback in the past 12 months.

This lot didn't sell once before; it got a high bid of $1050.75:

Sounds like a slick way to make Two Large and Five Small. Find another eBay account, lather, rinse, repeat to wash the slime from your soul. Maybe PayPal isn't all bad if they are holding onto the funds until it ships.

Something like that happened to me on some DVDs. Problem was the guy had a store in several different places, and not just eBay. I got my $96 back and had his account suspended.

Either the seller is a total crook or just very stupid. He already has the money (albeit on hold). What is he gaining by trying to squeeze an extra $100 out of it?

I should just have to wait out the 10 days and and file the Paypal claim. Right now, the Paypal hold policy sounds like a great policy

I kind of think he's hoping someone offers cash or leaves the feedback prior to receiving.

I am looking at your experience as something worthwhile for the rest of us --- it's an example of a high-priced eBay transaction gone wrong.

FWIW, this is at least the third time he has listed the auction and I am fairly certain he shilled it the first time. I can't find the auction anymore as it was before Christmas, but it from what I remember it was 2 very low feedback noobs that bid it up to over $2500 and then strangely enough it was relisted again within 3 days of the auctions close.

I was too lazy to report it then, and since Ebay's quality "protect its bidder by hiding your ID system makes things 10 times harder to find shilling than it should, but now I wish that I would have.

LOL. That's one way to generate interest for items . . . create a fake eBay history through the "Completed Items".

If I was you I wouldn't wait, I'd file it now. Your documented back and forth should be more than enough for Paypal to act in your favor right away.

Ahh, my Google-fu is strong tonight, I found it. It didn't go for the $2500 I was thinking it did, but it originally "went" for $1825:
