Hi All,

as the time for Indy reg moves round again, I was wondering in this harsh ecomomic climate, how many ppl here will be attending?

I probably will, but not 100% yet.

Cheers,
Malc

I'll probably buy a registration, and get a hotel reservation, but I won't know until this summer.  I bet the economic situation is going to lead to a lot of late entries, maybe more than anytime in Gencon history.  Last year lots of people cancelled at the last minute and reportedly there were a lot of rooms open up in the last month....I'm betting rooms will be easier to fin than ever this year.  Also, should be a real buyer's market at the auction/auction store this year!

Very interested in seeing how quickly the main room sells out..

Of course, as I live in Indy, I will be there.  If there is anything I can do to help get you here -- just ask.

Looking to see if either the Trolls or Crazy Egor will have me attend with them. So, maybe. Was certain before the new year, but not so much now.

Planned to attend last year, then got sidelined by unforeseen factors.  Will plan to stay away this year, and maybe I'll just make it.   :D

I am going to get there one way or another. It has been way too many years. I really can't plan which days as my work schedule is in a constant state of flux - but at least I am working...gotta love the construction business. I also coach football starting Aug 1, so I have to work that out, too.

What day is the acaeum memberfest? I would really like to make that. Indy is just a four hour drive for me, so I can wait until the last minute.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

bbarsh,

The Acaeum dinner is Wednesday night before the start of Gencon.  Hope all that can attend will show up Wednesday night.  Especially you, Bombadil, as we do not get many folks wearing a fur parka in Indy in August.

Hey guys,

I plan on going this year to Indy...it will be the first time for me going to GenCon..so I am pretty excited about it.

Anyone have some tips on hotel, or the event in general, I would appreciate the info in a PM.

Thanks,

Jorge

One of these days I'm gonna write book on Gen Con. A good one. I've been to 18. But I have not been to one is five years now. So I can't help you on the Indy thing.

But arrive a day early - Wednesday. It sets you up for a great convention. Believe me when I say there is plenty to do.

And now that I discover that the annual Acaeum meeting is Wednesday...its a must. :D

What parka?  That's just body hair.  We Italians are known for that.

I only get two weeks of PTO a year, so I will see if I can save enough money and not get sick until after GenCon.   :D

I'm hoping to attend but I rarely plan that far in the future.

Probably the best thing for you to do is to read or become a member of the Gen Con Community forums here:
http://community.gencon.com/forums/

There is tons of information about hotels, restaurants, travel, parking, events, etc.  If you have specific questions about anything, someone there is going to know about it.
