Might as well repost the list so we don't have to keep going back and forth....Frank has posted these for sale in the classifieds, no prices, just email him with an offer for the ones you want.

You know how when you move you find things you didn't know you have? I don't think any of us have ever come CLOSE to this treasure trove. Wow!!!

Stunning!  How I wish I had money.

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe...we are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

Grodog's questions:

Global (can you provide more info/details?): Not at this time. As stated in my original classified, these items aren't with me, and I have only occasional access (visiting hours ;>). We'll be reunited within 6 weeks tho.

WG5 MFA: Is this the version you alluded to awhile ago, that shows his
original content and your editorial additions?
Nah. I also have (a) his handwritten original notes and (b) Gary's review copy with his comments/changes (neither on the 'for sale' list).

Temple of the Flame:  Can you provide some more info/details?  Are you sure this one is Rob's?
I'm sure since I bought it from him.

Sorceror's Scroll: Is this an unpublished FtSS then, or did it get published later under a different title?
I presume the latter. I finally scored a Dragon CD recently and will compare texts when I get some time.

"Dungeonland . Magic Mirror": Are the handwritten corrections from Gary, you, or others?
Gary and I iirc.

Unearthed Arcana: Are there any details on the Mystic, Savant, Mountebank, and/or Jester?  Also, how many pages, etc.?
(a) almost certainly, (b) don't recall; not the whole book.

Stoink: Any maps, or just writing/contents?
4-page concept premise/outline only.

The Maze of Xaene: Is this the version you made a copy of for me before?  Does it include the PCs and maps, or just the adventure?
Yah, and just the text. Historically it's most notable for the (c) Gygax/Kuntz/Ward notation, a credit that iirc Rob didn't include in his separate version.

What is D&D?: Is this the "Understanding D&D" pamphlet, or something different?
A full-length paperback iirc, from Penguin UK, early '80s.

Terror Skull: Is this Greyhawk, or generic? How much was written by Gary vs. Francois?
Generic, and hard to say; iirc 75% Francois.

The Shadow of the Blade: Is it any good?
Sure. Don't know why we never published it for Companion or Masters. Don't know if it was published in France, either; possibly not.

Battle Royal: What's it about?
AD&D miniatures game ( :!:  in 1981), run at GenCon South; by me with Bob Blake. Hex map plus a kit of magically appearing terrain changes and time schedule for their appearance & disappearance. Two identical teams (6 or 8 per side) starting at each end of a huge room, initiative based on Dex; unmodified AD&D1e rules. Destroy the other team & capture treasures revealed along the way. HM... maybe I should run this for Acaeum members at GenCon... ;>

Dwarven Quest for the Rod of Seven Parts: Is the entire box for sale vs. just 1 set of the tourney?
Gotta dig through it yet; I think I have one more full tourney set, maybe or maybe not.

Great Bugbear Hunt: set in GH or Aquaria in this tourney version?
Technically in Aquaria but, being a stand-alone, irrelevant and containing no important campaign data.

Mythic Masters Magazine: This is for Dangerous Journeys, right?
Quite so. Amazingly rare, 6 issues before the Pog shut us down.

Which of these (assorted ms) relate back to Greyhawk, Blackmoor, Tekumel, Aquaria, or other Lake Geneva campaigns?
None, iirc, tho certain other campaigns -- those in Ohio, frex -- formed the background for various TSR employees (Moldvay, Schick, Petticord, et al.), and are an overlooked source of Roots.

TSR mainframe computer dungeon: what's this about?
Typical hackemup, primitive computer adventuring. Map displayed by asterisks & spaces & punctuation, never knew combat details (except everyone died a lot), saving throws vs all ability scores, D&D clone. Popular with us early computer geeks who spent off-hours time in the offices.

Thanks for the info Frank.  So, will you be taking offers now, or after you're able to provide more details?---how's that process going to work?

On the really popular/expensive/notable stuff, there will be an information exchange, thus requiring a delay on my end.

But for many items, just express your interest and make an offer. Many items are at least adequately described. For example, if it says "3-round AD&D tournament, complete with characters & maps" I'm not inclined to do a precise page count. In general most of these are not roughs or outlines, they're the complete and fully written adventures, many entirely usable (and used) by volunteer DMs at conventions.

imho some of the obscurities will go for less than $100. Many involving Names, and/or dating from the really early days, will go for more; some will be a lot more (like some of my stuff, eg Battle Royal, R7P, etc).

Safe to say that nothing listed will go for ten or twenty bucks $US, 'cept maybe some of the most recent.

And of course then there's the Other List, which (a) I'm not inclined to part with and (b) will be seriously expensive. Email me if you want to play in that arena.

F

Edit/followup: Re offers & inquiries, I'll tell you when I don't think it's worth as much as the offer -- yeah really -- and likewise tell you if I want a lot more. Yes, when somebody offers $150 for something I think is only worth $75, I'll say so. But if you offer $200 and I think it should be $500 I say so.

No I'm not crazy... I'm fair, or try to be.

F

Wasn't this also available in electronic format for free download?  I think it was even available from the old TSR website for a time.

I've never seen it available anywhere, except by subscription during its original release.

With a lot of digging, one can find snippets and pieces of it... but I've yet to come across an entire issue online. I do know there weren't a whole lot of them made (printed) and the people who have them, hold to them with iron-claws, making them damn expensive (my guess is $1500 for the set.)

I might be able to bid on a few of these, but the ones I want, really want, I don't think I have a chance in hell of getting. :( I hate this. Heh.

It seems as if one of the TSR employees posted them on the TSR website for a certain period of time, then they moved to a separate server.  They are still downloadable from some p2p file sharing sites - just checked.

Very odd; the game was never a TSR product.

Didn't TSR get the rights to DJ as part of whatever agreement was reached between them and GDW?  Or am I remembering incorrectly...
