Hi all!

I will give $10 via Paypal per identified piece to whoever can tell me what these are published in(first person w/ correct answer only). They are all by artist Jeff Dee and judging by their small size I would guess they were used for D&D module/accessory counters or stand-ups. They may have been used for a Dragon magazine game. The color piece is dated 1981 and looks like a barbarian(maybe even Conan). Two other pieces I have were from the "Revolt on Antares" TSR mini game. I have checked "They've Invaded Pleasantville", "Vampyre", and "SAGA" minigames with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

On the back cover of what? The rogues Gallery we have has an Erol Otus illo on the back. Were there different covers?

Maybe he meant the monster/TReasure assortment compilation; there is a Dee illio on the back, the thief there looks remarkable like#3 but in a different pose, etc.  

BTW, isn't that Magneto's helmet in the treasure chest....???!!!!!

They may have been used for pre-gen characters? in a tourney/module? I only say it as there seems to be 4 all from a major class.. Barbarian, Cleric, fighter (Cavallier?), Magic User..

Other than the first one, this is where I would surmise the other ones were used as well.  Thought that they might have been used in the original R1-R4 but checked and they were not.

Maybe as was mentioned in a Dragon Magazine adventure?  Quite a few of them were tournament adventures.

Another, possibly wacky, idea that comes to mind would be the Catacombs books:

Faerie Mound Of The Dragonkind
Gnomes-100, Dragons-0
Knight Of The Living Dead

They were produced in the late 80's so it would be a stretch.

Anyone have them readily available to check?

I also looked at most of the Grenadier and TSR lead minis and didn't see anything close. I wish I had a copy of the DRAGON magazine archive to check. I would hate to have to start looking through all those.
