Badmike wrote:The Tower of Gygax was a 24/7 event that was simply a series of deadly rooms that went on and on....there was no end, characters adventured until time ran out. There were 12 people a sessionl.....six player characters, and six backups that filled a space when someone was killed. If they were killed, the original took back their place, and so on. Really the entire point was to be killed and let someone else play for awhile, but you wouldn't believe the numb-nuts that didn't realize this and fought like hell to have their characters survive. The rooms had no relation to each other, each had some sort of a puzzle or trap or monster or obstacle to overcome, and you could run through one or two an hour in the format they were in. Some of the traps were instant kills, others gave you lots of warnings, they were all submitted by anyone who wanted to.Mike B.
