Hope it is okay that I post another question!

I have three semi-shrinkwrapped Dungeon Geomorphs, with F 1002 on the main page. Also, three pages of Dungeon Level Geomorphs (one from each packet), with respectively pink, brown and purple writing.

I have read about the Dungeon Geomorphs, and that the F 1002 with shrink are more rare, but have been unable to find anything else about them - such as a pic.

Any help would again be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Don't worry, we like questions.
The page linked below has some more info if have haven't found it.  (From the main page, go to Miscellaneous, then Dungeon Geomorphs).  If you click on the picture for Dungeon Geomorphs 3 on the right, you'll note it's a 1st printing.

http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/miscpages/dungeon.html

As you're asking specifically about F1002, I'm not sure we have a pic for that specific printing and you might want to submit one to the webmaster.  They are "more rare" than the unshrinked 1st printings included in some boxed sets.  ;)

I must admit that I am a bit confused by some of your wording.

The seperate sets of the dungeon geomorphs, each had different color cover sheets.

As far as I know, the sets were only sold individually (Outside the box set for set one) as seperate sets and had individual stock numbers for each set.

DG Set One: Basic Dungeon;  Cover in red, or pink(?) (Stock No. F-1002),
DG Set Two: Caves and Caverns;  Cover in purple (Stock No. F-1003)
DG Set Three: Lower Levels;  Cover in brown (Stock No. F-1004)

The seperate sets were never (I do not think) sold in SW together.

If you have all three seperate Sets; each one in the original SW, then you have three very nice items.

I am a little confused myself now!

I have three packets, shrink-wrap but open at the top.

First packet contains the Set One: Basic Dungeon with the Lizard Logo and F 1002 bottom left hand side. Dated 1976. It looks like the Dungeon Geomorph Set One 3rd here http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/miscpages/dungeon.html , except for the difference in number on the bottom left. On the back of this (my copy)are blue and white cut out shapes. In this packet there is also a Dungeon Level Geomorph page in one of the three colors.

The two other packets, also with shrink, open at the top do not contain anything other than the cutouts and the Dungeon Level Geomorph pages in the different colors, as I mentioned in my first post.

Hope I have explained it a little better.

Would be happy to send some pics to The Acaeum if they are wanted.

And as you stated, pictures will also clear up confusion as well.

I have never been exactly sure how many pages are supposed to be in each of those sets.
Nor exactly what is supposed to be in them.
There are no statements on the Acaeum pages about contents of the set, or sets (IMO that is an unfortunate omission).
I am sure that someone here can answer your questions better than I can in that regard.

I have what I think is a complete copy of the First Print of Set One:
The contents:
The front page has red lettering like the Set One pictured on the Acaeum listing (Though as with your copy; the stock number is different) and on the reverse side of that same sheet is a blue and white dungeon geomorph.
Then there are FOUR single sided pages with blue and white dungeon geomorph on one side and blank on the other side.
The areas, or rooms for the geomorph pages are labeled with letters:
Reverse of page one: with rooms labeled as follows:
GHI;
The areas, or rooms for the Single sided Sheets are labeled as follows:
ABC;
DEF;
JKL;
MNO;
The last page has blue lettering on one side (And a blue sample level matrix sketch) and on the reverse side it is a red lettered sheet.

So, with my Set One; there are 6 sheets in all, two are double sided sheets (First and last sheets) and Four are single sided sheets with geomorph only on one side and blank on the other side.

I also have copies of the other two sets (Later print runs) but I think they are all incomplete as none of those sets includes a second double sided sheet (Last sheet).

Sounds like you have all three sets which have been opened at the top, mixed together, then randomly put back into the remains of the shrinkwrap.

Hello again,

When you talk of a 'red lettered sheet,' does this sheet begin with:

"DUNGEON LEVEL GEOMORPH

This set of geomorphs will provide you with an endless number of combinations with which to create..."

and end with the final sentence of:

"Use of sheet overlays or a multiple set of geomorphs will solve the problem."

The brackets are mine.

Thanks very much for the help.

Yes that wording is the red lettering on the back of the last page.
In the middle of that same page, there is a symbol key as well and other instructions.

Thank you very much for your help. I shall try and sort out my three packets from what you have said.

There is a picture at Tome of Treasures, but not of the F 1002. I did actually send a mail there asking if they would like a pic of the one that I have, but did not receive a reply.

I will contact the webmaster here at The Acaeum and see if they could use a picture of the F 1002.

There is a picture of the F1002 set at the bottom of this thread in the research forums:

http://tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=476

It only shows the front cover.

that's not completely true: i have a SWed 1st print where there's no final page with blue and red lettered sheet... mine copy likely (because i am not sure for i didnt break the plastic) has the cover sheet and the geos sheets only...

should you need a pic, let me know!

Yes! Please do post a picture of the front and back sheets.

Perhaps the Blue (on one side) and Red (on the other side) Sheet is inside the Shrinkwrap somewhere else?

But I would not break the SW to count pages either.
Can you count how many total sheets are in the set, even though the sheets are in the SW?
Not asking for a description of each page, just a page count.

.... that's not completely true:

First, my calling that sheet "the Last sheet" was never intended as some sort of assurance that the moniker of Last Sheet in that set was correct.
I never claimed to be certain, as I only have the one copy of a first Print set and a couple of other prints of that set.
Plus, as I stated above; I do not know of a place to get anwers as to the complete and correct contents of that set (or that group of sets for that matter).

On the other hand, I do not see how you can be so certain that that sheet is not part of every First Print Set One set either.
That same sheet could also be in your set too (Could it not?) even if it is not the last sheet inside the SW.
Without removing the SW, I do not know how anyone could tell.

In any case; if our Blue/Red back sheets are not a part of a 1st Print set, then where do they come from? :?

He and I both have that same sheet and we both have at least part of the First Prints for that Geomorph Set.
The Other sets in that run have no red lettering (They are brown and Purple, not Red), so that sheet (IMO) Is probably part of the Set One set.

I will relent to one other possibility (Reluctantly though).
That sheet COULD be from some other printing of that Set One set, or possibly it could be from some other completely different product (I honestly doubt that).
I have other printings of that set and it is possible that that last sheet is actually from one of the other print of the Set One sets I have.
However, I find that HIGHLY unlikely as all of my other sets of that product are hole punched and none of my first Print sets sheets have any holes, including that specific sheet.

hold on... pls dont misunderstand me: i wrote that it is not completely true... i didnt write that you are wrong... i am prety sure that for the majority of 1st prints (those that came with the D&D box) there is a back cover with red/blue writings... the point is that the SWed versions have not a back cover... hence i didnt want to go against what you said...

in any case, tomorrow i will post a scan of my copy: for sure i cant seize how many (and moreover which) pages are in the product... but hope that the scan could help in any case!

Okie dokie.

I look forward to seeing your pictures/scans.

In the interim, here are scans of the first and last sheets of my copy of the First Print; Dunegeon Geomorphs: Set One; Basic Dungeon

TSR Stock Number:   F 1002

The other FOUR pages are not shown below, as they are all one-page blue ink prints of Geomorphs on one side with blank pages on the reverse side.

Thanks much.

That page is part of the set I have too.
Being one of the blank on one side with blue Geomorphs on the other side sheets.
