Hello all,
I know there are a few others here with this illness. I thought maybe we could help each other out with one of the common symptoms -> searching for something you are not sure exists. Hopefully someone can post a scan/pic of those items you are still looking for. At least then we will know we are not chasing ghosts.

I will start with the 4th+ printing of the dungeon masters screen.

Fourth (1980?):  Now states "This second edition of the DM Screen..." in the cover text.  Wizard logo.  "Printed in USA" on the bottom left.  Screens have been "redesigned for better clarity", are varnished on both sides, and are now both 11"x25" (a version has been reported with varnish on one side of the screen only -- thanks to John Justice for this info).  The artwork paper does not wrap around to the chart-side, nor are the charts pasted on.

Fourth+:  Identical to Fourth, but does not have "Printed in USA" on the bottom left. (Thanks to Rhea Shelley for this info).

Here is a scan of the 4th print:

Image

I willl pm Rhea to see if he still has this.

I have a 4th print with no varnish on one side - it is actually 10.5 by 25.5.  I do not have a 4th+ though.

I've had so many of these that I no longer recall what I've had -- I think I have one left, and I am completely unsure about its print number. I usually trade these things to people -- they're quite popular, really.

No reply from Rhea yet. I may be using old contact info. Any of you other Texas guys talk with him regularly?

Anyone have any other specific print items they are unsure of?

I'm not from Texas but I've talked & corresponded with him over time. It's been a while though.  I thought he had offloaded what he had remaining.  I guess you could also email him through eBay.  He's still using his account.

I'll PM you what I have for contact info to see if it helps.

Hey everybody.

Just replied to Mike (thanks for the link to this thread).  As i told him, i still have thousands of items packed away in a large number of boxes, so there's no way to get to it.  When they were all displayed, it was a breeze to just walk over and grab an item, but alas, no more.  Some day i'll get around to selling once again, but until then, i'm afraid it's all packed away.

On a different note, i actually found a small box of odds and ends in my current game room (Woodgrain boxed set, full set of Adventurer's Guild modules, orange B3, and a set of Australian solid monochroms).  Not sure why it was there, but it was.  It brought back some great memories.

Feel free to write if you like.  I don't have the access to my stuff that i once did, but i might be able to remember bits and pieces if you have specific questions.  Either way, it was great hearing from you guys again.

Take care,

rhea..

Can anyone provide a scan of B4 2nd print front and back?

Second:  Angled yellow banner in upper left.  TSR Face logo.  ISBN is centered on the back cover bottom, and Piece Code (9049XXX1401) is on back cover bottom right instead of the Product Number.

Thanks,
Mike

0 for 2 so far. Can anyone provide a scan/pic of monochrome S1 2nd or 3rd print. The second print needs to have the isbn on the back left of the cover. The front left isbn 2nd print is shown below.

Second:  Monochrome.  Wizard logo, centered.  ISBN on either back cover bottom left or front cover bottom left; both versions reported.  Thanks to Chris Hoffner and Rhea Shelley for this info.

Third:  Monochrome.   Wizard logo, centered.  ISBN on both back cover bottom left as well as front cover bottom left.

My S1s are ISBN on cover -- not on back. :( I could've sworn I had one of those... guess not.

I think these S1 prints are in the same boat as the D series.

we'd like to get additional confirmation from anyone who's got a Fourth or Fifth print of D1, D2, or D3.  For the Fourth print, we're not sure if the version with the ISBN on the bottom right exists, and for the Fifth, we're not sure if the print exists at all!  Any help is appreciated

Just a guess at this point.

Here is a two for one shot. Can anyone provide rear cover scans of module U1 Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh 2nd or 4th prints?

Descriptions:

U1 Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh

First:  TSR Face logo.  ISBN on back cover bottom left.

Second:  TSR Face logo.  ISBN and Product Number back cover bottom left.

Third:  TSR Face logo.  ISBN back cover bottom left, Product Number back cover bottom right.  The Product Number's font is in a noticeably smaller point size than the ISBN's.

Fourth:  TSR Face logo.  ISBN back cover bottom left, Product Number back cover bottom right.  The Product Number's font is an identical point size to the ISBN's.

I feel kind of like I'm playing bingo, but so far I have none of the numbers called.  Keep them coming, Mike.  I'm sure I'm not the only one having a look at what they've got after reading one of your posts!  Odds are I'll have one eventually.

Thanks for letting me know! I was wondering how many people would actually be checking these as I posted them. I hope someone has one everytime I post one.
