Keep in mind when it comes to collecting, the stuff I buy I use, I could never see the point of putting something in a plastic bag, in a box, in a closet until the day you die.
Depends on what you want to do with it. Sell it or keep it. If the pencil doesn't bother you, don't erase. If you can removoe them without causing damage to the item, if erasing improves the appearance, then carefully erase. Carefully.
