Having lost both a creator of D&D and the man who created (?) Judges' Guild, got me to thinking about something that has been rummaging around in my head
[insert own punch line here! 
] for a while.
That being . . . what would you all think about having an Acaeum Hall of Fame, similar to the Baseball or Football Halls of Fame?
Now, I am not saying I belong; I
admit I
don't!
Neither am I talking about the list of contributors on each of the subwebs here as the Hall of Fame membership, although a fair number of them would belong!
The wings on such a Hall could be:
A) People (i.e.
EGG, Arneson, etc.) who had major influence on their game, whether D&D,
JG, Planescape, etc.
B) Artists (including art for modules or other books, as well as those who created things like certain miniatures, etc.)
C) Modules and Rulebooks (i.e., Chainmail,
B2,
T1,
G1-2-3, etc.)
D) Contributors (Dungeon or Dragon Magazines, Louis Zocchi, etc.)
E) Anything or anyone else which doesn't fit A-D above (i.e. dice).
You couldn't nominate yourself!
I'm not sure how a voting process would work, though; beside that, how many nominations per cycle (I'm thinking about every six months to a year), say no more than 20 initially with no more than 5-6 every cycle afterwards (or at a certain percentage of a vote--say 2/3, or 75% like the Baseball HOF). I'm also not sure if this should be open voting or limited to something--say, all with at least 100 posts or members of the Acaeum HOF are eligible voters, etc.
Comments everyone? Suggestions? Changes? Or am I full of hot air?
