Hi all.  I emailed the seller of some D&D minis on ebay.  The seller is newportbeachcollectibles

He listed shipping as $4.95.  I asked him via email about his combined shipping he listed in his auction.  He told me under 10 minis would be $4.95.  I figured that was fair and won 3 of his auctions.  Low and behold, once I receive the invoice for the 3 minis I won in 3 seperate auctions, shipping is now $10.95.  The total for all 3 minis was only $5.50.  None of them were even rare minis.

So, I email him asking what the deal was and he says he reduced it since shipping should have been a total of $14.85.  He also mentioned if I failed to pay, he would file a NPB on each auction, giving me 3 unpaid item strikes and thus an account suspension.  So, I'm going to bite the bullet on this one and pay for them.  Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this rip off artist.

Pay for one auction. When the seller sends the mini, pay for the next. And so on.
Why would you enable an idiot seller by caving in? At least send the e-mails to eBay. Paying $10 for shipping 3 minis is moronic......

LOL, the guy has 4 feedbacks! eBay would boot him before they'd lose a customer.

If you have proof (the email he sent you) of the shipping price he quoted you, would that not be enough to have anything negative he does to you removed?

I think you should either adjust the shipping yourself and pay what you agreed upon or open a dispute console on Ebay.

If the items are being combined I think they only count as 1 strike against you and not 3 as well but I'm not 100% on that.

My shipping is usually $2.00 per blister and $1.00 for each additional blister.  His shipping rates are awful! :x   Thanks for the heads up!

I second that motion.

Neg him and stagger your feedback.  When he responds to the neg, reply in turn (IIRC, this is limited to feeback, reply, reply-to-reply).

Buy from benjoshua instead.  ;)
