Hi folks! A short message to announce that a new subforum has been created for italian rpg collectors at Tome of Treasures:

...this board, called "Il Tomo dei Tesori", will work similarily to the overall reaserch forum with a focus on the italian rpg (those created in italy and not simply translated).
Should you be able to read/write italian, then you are more than welcome to join us!

When I saw the subject line of this message I thought ToT stood for Tower of Terror, the Disney World attraction that has one heck of a drop sequence... :wink:

I tried to register but I forgot to specify I'm over 13 years old so I got a message asking for my parent or guardian to sign before I am admitted to the boards :oops:

well, that's not properly true... the list in there contains only rpg "made in italy" and not mere translations of other rpgs... but we can discuss about this issue over there! you are welcome! (and i know that you can give a huge contribution to the project!)

You did a couple of mistakes: Friulius is not a role playing game, it's a D&D/AD&D campaign (in the 'fantasy RPGs' jargon of course) while Og is an US creation, not an Italian one (the author is an Italian - American...).

well, ref to Friulius that's not even true: it's a generic FRPG supplement, a kind of setting which can be run even without any specific rpg rules system (like d&d)...

ref to OG, my assumption was that the author is italian, hence the booklet is in scope... didnt know that he was both italian and american... i will correct my list and move the topic into the section with translated products... :oops:

I disagree. I had and read it and it was a stealth campaign setting and adventure(s) for D&D/AD&D (and so wrote some of the authors when it was published...).

Alexander, yesterday i spent one hour (in addition to the previous ones) and checked that there is no mention of the words D&D/AD&D or related synonims... sorry, that is a generic FRPG campaing setting... to confirm that, it's sufficient to have a look at the stat in it: they are not consistent with the D&D/AD&D stystem at all... they are of course compatible, but you were told wrongly about this book... i have a spare copy... would you like to trade it?

I beg to differ. Friulius is the Italian equivalent of the various Role Aids and 'compatible with all RPGs' US products. The authors used the D&D/AD&D stats in a stealthy way :wink:

, but the book was anyway designed with D&D and AD&D in mind (they told so, I find quite hard to believe they were wrong about their own book!). No, I'm not interested (I sold my copy a long time ago...) because it's not a complete RPG.

Hello everyone. I'm one of the authors of Friulius, the one who wrote it, in fact. A couple of remarks: all the authors are italian, Friulius was written as AD&D adventure module but we had to change our minds cause royalties problems, so we changed it in a generic RPG adventure module.
