Over at the WoTC community forums, someone is starting to recruit players for a 1e campaign to be hopefully played on OpenRPG. If anyone is interested, its in the "Out of Print" forum, and the thread is titled "Does anyone still play 1st edition D&D".

In case you are also interested in a 1e game, you can also check out Dragonsfoot:

Good solid Non-3E gaming community. :) Some folks aroung here aren't big fans, but depite its warts its a pretty cool place to hang out and talk about the game iteself.

My campaigns have always been 1st edition, with house rules of course.

Still, when I not using my own material I like to add something, on occasion, from the 2nd or 3rd edition, which I convert to 1st.  I'm actually running the Dragon Mountain box set at the moment.  It has many inconsistencies and omissions but it's got some decent maps and ideas.

In addition to DF, 1e playing folks may be interested in Knights & Knaves Alehouse @ http://www.knights-n-knaves.com/phpbb/index.php

For OD&D players, Finarvyn's OD&D board @ http://odd74.proboards76.com/ is also excellent.

@ Scott:  when you get a chance, perhaps add those boards to the players/pointers info in the FAQ (in addition to DF, of course)?
