So, I was out shopping yesterday, and went to my usual places offline, and came across some really good things, in my opinion:

R3: The Egg of the Phoenix - if it had the shrink wrap, it would be perfect; that's missing but the module is in near mint condition otherwise, looking like it had never even been opened. Now, you must keep in mind this is a module I never thought I'd own, and since I own one now... I guess I'll have to try and track down the others.

D&D Silver Anniversary Box Set - near mint, in shrink wrap. Only problem is that its in shrink, so I can't (or don't want to) open it and see what's inside.

Gamma World 1st Edition, 1st Print - box in very fine or one step below near mint, but the contents are untouched and near mint.

DMR2: Creature Catalog - not a biggie, really, but something I've wanted, and its in very good - excellent shape, with no rips, rogering/cougies, or interior writings.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a fun experience, and hope everyone has a similar one, or better, soon.

$185 for R3

$100 for the Silver Anniversary

$50 for Gamma World

and $20 for the Creature Catalog.

I think I did pretty good.

Very nice find. If you decide you dont want to bother with tracking down the other three you can always sell the R3 to me. :wink:

Nice score on the Gamma World. That first edition is often found in thrashed condition (crushed box, missing map, writing in the rulebook, writing on the map, etc., etc.).

Pretty good prices all around...

An R3 in mint condition is a great find at that price! The shrink anniversary set is also a nice deal; I've seen those generally sell for $169 to $200 or more on Ebay.

My favorite of your haul this weekend is the Gamma World. A 1st print with a NM box is hard to find on Ebay. Most of the ones I've seen look like they have been stored under Da Coug for at least part of their existence. But heck, it is Gamma World after all (Earth in VGC :wink:

gamma world is fast becoming my fave thing just now. its just really cool.

Really? I got my Silver Anniversary set in shrink just over a year ago for $83.00(if memory serves). Maybe I should sell the thing and try to get it not in shrink since I could care less whether it's in shrink or not. I will definitely be tracking these in the near future.

Actually, the GW box is my favorite item in the grab, too. I had been looking for the box itself, just the box, but then realized I was missing a few other things, and this one had it all... even the dice in an unopened bag, so I just had to get it.

Shrink TSR Silver just went for 100.38 about a day or two ago. All of the store versions are closer to 200.00.
