I have gotten a few Unconfirmed overseas Paypal payments lately. What does it take to confirm an overseas Paypal address? I am very hesitant to ship ANYTHING to a Paypal-paid unconfirmed address.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Address confirmation is only available in a limited number of countries - US, Canada and the UK. There might be a couple others but I don't think most countries have this.

Deadlords that is one reason I will only ship now overseas with priority. At least it is insured and you can be certain it will arrive if the US postal service has anything to say about it since they do not want to have to go through the hassel of paying you if it dosnt.

Then you can charge a claim if they say the did not recieve it and you can refudn the buyer and still be safe.

Thats my reason anyhow

I have a confirmed Aussie address, so you can add Australia to that... from memory I didn't have to do anything (its been so long anway I have forgotten) but I didn't have to do anything out of the ordinary anyway to get it I'm sure...

Really? I wonder if that is new? I specifically remember seeing that your paypal account was unconfirmed when I sent out your package last year (and thinking that was strange) - I might just be going crazy.

Maybe I'm drunk.. I don't have a "confirmed Addess" I have a "Verified" account... Hmm.. it list me status as "Status: Australian - Verified" when I log in.. Verified customers "You are now a Verified PayPal user. In addition to increased security, buyers and sellers value your Verified status because it indicates you have passed PayPal security checks."

From the paypal site

"How a buyer can confirm an address.
Inform your buyer about how to confirm their address by communicating the following options:

1) Add a credit card to their PayPal account. PayPal will confirm the credit card billing address (the address where you receive your credit card statement).
2) Apply for PayPal Buyer Credit. If they're approved, the address on your application will be a confirmed address.
3) Alternative address confirmation. This process takes several days and is only available for US accounts. To learn more, log in to your PayPal account and visit Alternative Address Confirmation. "

I can't see anywere were I can actually "confirm" my address on the aussie site...

I would think that adding a credit card should do it.

I've already done that, that's why I think I'm "Verified" .. I can find were I can add a "confiremed adress" on the aussie system, the above way to add a confirmed address is from the paypal search function of the query..

I tried to 'verify/confirm' my address about 2 years ago, and it wasn't available to overseas addresses.

..........But if anyone here needs me to verify my addy I'll nip outside and have another look. or you can ask Al.. :lol:
