Just noticed in the Sunday ads that the Dragonlance animated movie comes out on DVD this Tuesday.

Hopefully it won't be a let down.

May rent this..really not sure I'll buy it. But yeah, having watched a trailer I'm not expecting much of an excitement over this.

While not too impressed with the trailer, it reminds me of the 80's style cartoons like Conan etc( which being a child of the 80's I have a soft spot for), I will of course be buying it (sucker)... I just hope they produce the other 2 at least and that this will not be such a loss making eneterprise that they will not do them... Very annoying...

I just finished watching this and have to say that the cgi doesn't work with the animation at all. The fight scenes involving the two are just painful to watch. I really don't know what they were thinking. I was hoping for more from the animation as well but you get used to it after a while. Overall I would say that it is of average saturday morning quality.

For $15 CAD from Amazon - only $13 US for some reason, I'm not sure if I will buy this one yet or not. If I buy it, I would feel obligated to watch it again and I don't think I'm ready for that ... yet.

The original? Once. And my eyes just stopped bleeding last month.

The sequel (the SciFi Channel one)? Once. I actually thought it was the better of the two.

Yeah, the second one still wasn't good, but at least the scriptwriter TRIED to get some D&D references into it.

The best one was the cheesy reference to the "Ghost Tower of Inverness"....got to love it.

That's how I fee too. I was hyped for the first movie and have never watched it again and thought the second was better but haven't seen it again either. I haven't been able to bring myself to buy these either.

Well the Dragonlance movie wasn't all bad. It did cut out quite a bit from the novel though. The mix of CGI and animation was kind of strange. I wonder if it was originally going to be all CGI and budget issues made them go to animation?

Anyway, I hope the movie sells well so they will continue to make the rest of the series.

I watched this, and well it isn't terrible. Would I buy it - no. Would I watch this again - yes. If you haven't read the books I'm not sure this would make you want to.
