I was just looking at that Jim Perelman thread, and it made me wonder if EGG has ever seen it, and what he'd say about it.

And that made me wonder, does he ever come here? Do any other famous folk from the glory days stop by and peek in? (When I say famous folks here I mean OTHER folks besides the ones we know of. The venerable, wise and thrice honored ExTSR comes to mind.) :-)

I wonder what they make of the Acaeum.

Tim Kask and Rob Kuntz have been around and Greg Stafford has his own thread here. There have been others that stopped by briefly such as David Tennes who wrote the Book of Mars, Bob Liddil who published a number of items under various companies, the guy behind the UK Beholder fanzine, the Wee Warriors artist.

I'm sure there are others as well.

A number of the big names have their own Q&A threads over on Dragonsfoot: James Ward, Tim Kask, Frank Mentzer, Gary Gygax, Rob Kuntz, Steve Marsh.

i just pop in to fill time between the multitude of things i have going on all the time

as top poster i have a standard to keep up. i know its hard sometimes but it just has to be done.

and of course just to keep an eye on any interesting nuggets my searches dont show up

Yup, all the folks mentioned above contribute (some of them quite regularly) to the forums over at DF. In my experience all these people are very friendly, enthusiastic, and (when necessary) patient when it comes to talking with fans.

To the best of my knowledge, Frank (Mentzer) is the only active OOP game collector amongst the bunch - though I may be wrong. I know for a fact that Tim Kask was a big miniatures guy (I've got a load of his old stuff) years back - though age and demands on his time have kept him away from the hobby.
