Hi All, thanks to everyone that makes Acaeum such a great forum! I've been watching this auction and I can't figure out why it's going for so much:

I can see that the copy of G1 is a first print, but is that what makes it worth so much???

Australian editions...apparently very rare and obviously highly sought after.

Yes, but I personally don't like modules covered in contact.

Have they stopped doing a**b style bidder obfuscation? Or did they just never implement it on the eBay Australia servers?

They had to change all the maps & directional text for down under readers. Players start from giants' lairs on the bottom of the earth & proceed to walk upwards to get to the Drow.

$528 G2 + two spares looks like contact is cheaper than shrink. could be worse

Did the seller confirm they had contact paper?

reading listing for G1 did not confirm. $260 G2 + $130 each G1 G3 breakdown??

G1 - Steading of the Hill Giant Chief - Covered in clear contact for protection. Some minor marks.

G2 - The Glacial Rift of The Frost Giant Jarl - Cover shows minor wear.

G3 - Hall of the Fire Giant King - Cover spine is split about an inch from either end. Minor wear. Some pages have separated and come loose from the center staples.

would be good deal but prices on uk pbs low last few years

I would have bid except for the contact. There will another offered again I m sure sometime then beware

I think that I may have a spare cover of the Aussie G2 that is not contact covered.. I'll have to have a look, it won't be straight away but I'll try and remember..
