Hi guys, I've come across a couple of sites recently (rpgnow and rpgdrivethru) who sell pdf copies of old rule books and modules etc.

For interest sakes, I would like to have a copy of the original D&D rules(admittedly its the 6th print) but as I don't collect them, whether its mint or original doesn't really matter, so it would be nice just to have a copy to read. Also there were a few DMGR rule books that might be nice to read through as well.

So, has anyone dealt with these sites before and are they ok to use and are the copies good enough? Is it good practice to buy from them as well, as I wouldn't want to be buying 'pirated' goods as such.

Cheers in advance for any advice.

Dave   :)

p.s If anyone has old duplicate copies that are readable but not collectable, I could be interested too.

The sites are legit but from what I hear the quality of the pdfs in some cases is questionable.  It looks like the DMGR books you are after are $5 each.  You should be able to find most of the them for that price + shipping.

Given the price of the PDF's and the price of worn originals, AND the hassle of not having the copy in hand, personally I would try and score some hard copies. If you don't care much about condition, I believe I have a somewhat rogered set somewhere. I would be happy to look if you like.

Cheers guys. On that advice, I'll give these a miss. I'll certainly look for some hard copies, hopefully via the good guys on here, but I fear the shipping from the US would be a killer on the prices??  :?

However, if you want to PM me with prices etc, I'm certainly happy to see if it's worth it.

p.s Deadlord, cheers, I'm not a collector as such,(for reselling/heirlooms!) so condition is not too much of a problem, as long as it is complete and usable/readable thats fine, although how 'rogered' is 'rogered'   8O
