Might be a case of mistaken identity with the latter. You know, Dungeon #1 mistaken for Dragon #1.

I guess you could always point the second-place bidder to yours after the auction ends.

Aside from that, the first one is an auction and is experiencing a "bidding war" which happens from time to time, but is certainly not representetive of the real value of an item. It really is not a "price" at all, its a value as the "price" that the seller set for the auction when it started was $9.99. This all however is quite different from a fixed price store listing.

Typically, a Dungeon #1 would sell for around $25 - $30. Naturally you are going to get some crazy ones that go above and below that. I remember selling a copy to someone here for $25 I think and then about a year later he pass it along on Ebay and got about the same.

It HAS to be. Bom is right; jump all over that 2nd place bidder the minute the auction ends (send him a link to your item). I'd sell the copy out of my personal collection for that much in a second...

Dungeon is now "out of print". I'm sure that factor will push values up somewhat. But not that much, that soon, of course. There will always be people out there willing to pay too much.
