Hi there, folks,



    Anyone ever deal with an eBay seller called "dangerwil"?  Supposedly, the guy deals in old arcade games, and "just happened" to see somebody dumpstering a box of old D&D books.  Here, check it out:

    I'm intrigued with a few of these, but I don't know if I trust it.  Your thoughts?

He looks OK to me.  100% positive, over 300 unique users leaving that feedback...

 Mix of D&D and other stuff; doesn't look like anything suspicious.  I've had his same good fortune a few times so don't think good stuff doesn't turn up from time to time in odd places.

DestroyYouAlot posts on DF, assuming that this the same DYA with a different avatar.  DYA = Massachusetts, eBay seller = Florida.

I think its fairly obvious that dangerwil is a relaible seller - has been on Ebay for almost 10 years, Ebay rating of 337 with no negatives, etc.

Says he pulled the items out of a dumpster - makes you wonder how badly they smell of garbage though.  I went box hunting with EggofCoot for his move and boxes that had only been in the cardboard recycling dumpster for a short time generally had a nasty smell.

Dumpsters and recycle bins are nasty places, especially in the heat and/or humid seasons.  Liquor stores and copy centers are better places to find clean, though often boxcuttered, boxes.

DYA found a listing for Glory Hole Dwarven Mine and started a "Glory Hole" thread today on DF.  He may have come across both the GH module and dangerwil's auctions while searching for OOP items, thus leading to his joining and posting here.

Impersonating someone's online persona is easy enough.  But someone impersonating a DF user here risks being publicly exposed as a fraud.  dangerwil has no reason to destroy his feedback and reputation with a silly scheme to drum up interest on his items.

But, yeah, if a singular item were announced and then sold off quickly and privately . . .

That Eldritch Wizardry the guy put up has seen better days.  Of course, his hasn't likely been written in.
