Thank you to everyone that wrote to assist me in my quest for a Greyhawk box set, and for pointing out the restraints of the classified forum.

Per my mislocated post:

Can you provide an auction link?

From the original Classified post:
For the last 3+ weeks I've been bidding one a specific seller's copy of the World of Greyhawk box set. Every time the I manage to lose by $.50 to a buyer with 5 or less purchases, and a few days later the same seller has an identical set up for sale.

Am I daft to presume the seller is pumping up his sale with straw bids? Or do some individuals out there (not stores) really have 10+ copies of the "World of Greyhawk box set minus the box" ?

I'm not bclarkie, but here's my two cents' worth:

Bidder:  is the bidder only bidding on one seller's items?  is he from the same city as the seller?  Is he driving up the price beyond reason?

Seller: Are stock photos being used? Are the same photo and auction description being recycled?

Feedback: is feedback being left by either party?  Do any feedbacks look similar?  Has the buyer decided not to pay?

As Kosh asked, what's the URL for the auction?

All excellent questions. But given my n00bness, and the relatively small size of this community, I think it best to keep my mouth shut and not spread any bad blood...

... especially since a couple Acaeum members have offered to hook me up with Greyhawk. I'll just buy from them and be done with it.

A Wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
