In between its seemingly endless roster of CCG articles, the August issue of Scrye did have a nice piece about the recent Kuntz/Collector's Trove auctions. The famous (infamous?) $3,650 sale is mentioned specifically.

It's Scrye #86, if anyone is interested — the cover features Magic:TG (oh, wait, every Scrye features Magic:TG [cue laugh-track].) The article is on page 10.

That reminds me, Mike. We'd all love to see pictures of prize piece in it's frame. Maybe we could have an Improv's Den thread? Your collection is hard to rival.

Have already explained my bid on that, Mike.

There was a danger someone would've gone for the (expected) $450 BIN, which was more than I could justify personally.

Will take my chances on that and if it doesn't work out I've always got the 1973/4 photocopied 2nd print still kicking around for reference. (And I ain't burning that after getting fleeced by the seller who implied it was just a coverless copy and that they were well acquainted with printing tech).



As to those "pushes", yeah I gave you a huge one on the "Tsoj map", but you know I'd've paid that without blinking (to the detriment of my credit card) given the comparison with the module price and "historical" context.
