Hi gang, I was just reminiscing my first convention & RPG event, I played a D&D game called Bubbles Bubbles Everywhere at I-Con in Stony Brook Ny in I think 1983 (?),

Just wondering, since it’s a small world, anyone else ever attend?  Anyone heard of the scenario?  I can’t imagine it was ever published, but if so I’d love a copy.

Probably a long shot but this is the place to ask right. Thanks, all. I hope everyone’s doing well :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Wow, that goes a ways back!  I haven't heard of that game personally, but your reminiscing does bring back some good memories from around that time.  I played in a tournament adventure called "Cristifori, Prince of Darkness" at COSCON, in Butler PA around that time.  There was a sequel to that adventure called "The Awakening, Prince of Darkness II". The DM was gracious enough to provide me with copies of both.  They were both along the lines of Ravenloft.

Alas, you guys are too far west in PA to likely have any info on my "Treausre of the Dragon Queen" quest.  But just in case, I'm still looking:  From Kuroth's Quill - grodog's AD&D blog: Kellri's 18 Module Challenge - Day 12: "Treasure of the Dragon Queen" by Rutgers University Gamers and Greyhawk's Tournament History: Treasure of the Dragon Queen

I never attended any cons in Pittsburgh, alas, but Scott Gregg is still local there, and might perhaps have attended.

Since scenarios often moved around from convention to convention, I did a quick search on bubbles in the GenCon events db, but the earliest it came up with was in 1990:  bubbles - Blacklight Search Results but that's an Element Masters tourney @ Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble - Blacklight so no luck.

Have you flipped through the I-CON programs at their archive at https://www.iconsf.org/17-2/ yet?

Sounds interesting, Doug!  COSCon is still out there too:  History - Circle of Swords

Thanks Gents,

Allan, the link to the Con programs is great, I had a nice time this morning flipping through them. Total blast from the past!
