Hi all,

Does anyone here have a first print G1 module to confirm some things? I've only got a 3rd print. (And a UK and Aus print).

I'm just about to read it as part of D&D Chronologically – Reading through all of TSR's D&D products and noticed some new things for the Acaeum print history.

Firstly some additions to the Australian print info. The US 3rd print maps are in a very light blue - it has quite bad contrast.
In comparison, the Australian print has the darker blue that would become the standard in later modules.
Also, the back cover of the Aus print is just a picture - the same picture of bugbears that appears on the outside of the 3rd panel of the cover of D1.

Now, regarding the first print with the lizard logo, I can't find a pdf online but I found this listing: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... -422385693

From what I can tell, there are two differences with later printings
- the maps are black (vs blue, and darker black than the UK which is just a kind of gray)
- the back price page only lists G1,G2,G3 and does not include D1,2,3 like later prints

Can anyone confirm these?

Hi Nev. That's great info about the map being black in the first print. Do you know if the original printing of the Geomorphs were also black? I remember reading a contemporary review of the G/Ds which complained about the map being blue but I can't recall now where.

I've checked through some dates on your blog compared to min (explorebeneathandbeyw) and found a couple of dates that we have different:
- I've moved my date for Blackmoor back by one month to match yours due to that mention in the SR 1.5
- M&T #3 is in JGJ R which is April '76 so that's earlier than your date

Do you have an image of that product page for Dwarven Glory? I'm interested in the dates for Misty Isles, Labyrinthine, and The Vanquished Foe and have come up empty - even a relative order of publication would be good.

Oh wow, that's a fantastic bunch of posts Joe!

I have a first print of the 1st Dungeon Geomorphs set and can confirm they're blue maps, not black. Although I don't actually have an image of the sections in my blog post, the image of the cover is my copy : Dungeon Geomorphs Set One: Basic Dungeon – D&D Chronologically - I should probably put some more pics in that post.

Thanks for the info re M&T3. What does JGJ R say about it? Is it in a product list or article of some kind? I haven't been able to find journal R anywhere online.

Glad you liked it. M&T3 is just in the product listing for TSR - no comments:

Availability wise they are tricky to get hold of - only I,L,N,P,S are reprinted in the foolishly large deluxe Judges Guild book. Also the first two are posted at the Judges Guild website: Judges Guild Journal.

For the Wee Warriors games, I've seen the little that's in White Dwarf. Did you find anything else to help date them?

Thanks, I've updated my post with a link to yours: Monster & Treasure Assortment Set Three: Levels Seven-Nine – D&D Chronologically

Re the Wee Warrior modules - I haven't got any more info besides what I've got in the posts unfortunately.

Thanks Nev. I've added your blog to my list of blog links - it's very interesting and presumably has quite an overlap in the target audience!
