I don't see the D&D watch for sale from this seller (unless I missed it from the list), but there are many similar watches (Milli Vanilli, Annette Funicello's Beach Party, etc.).

Sorry, I must have cocked up the wording on this.  I bought these items while living in the Netherlands.

I am neither an expert nor sure about this, but my guess is they were a promo item given out in France for the D&D movie.

The silver ring with the "seconds?" spins freely around the face.  Not sure why.  Maybe to wind it or just to be cool.

I actually have 2 of them.  Both were found in France.  Hence the reason behind my guess as to the origin.

Perhaps a French Acaeum member can provide a bit more info or correct me.
