Speaking as a collector who doesn’t really play role-playing games, I’m curious if this group has any thoughts about Pathfinder’s 2nd edition. (I searched the forums and found only threads relating to the 1st edition.)

I collect it but have not played much of anything really.  2nd edition continues the lore/setting which I've loved since Pathfinder #1.  As for the rules, they are fine.  No dramatic shift that would impede playing and enjoying it.

It depends on what you're looking for.

The campaign setting is the same and I enjoy it.

The rules set shifted heavily away from 3.5 D&D (which was their main draw since [the rule set that shall not be named here] was crap) to a more modern 5.0 D&D rules set.

I'm a 3.5 D&D player at heart... so Pathfinder 2.0 is pretty much garbage to me... (I'll still play a 1.0 D&D game though... or Rolemaster... :wink: )
