However, I find that insured packages almost never get lost or damaged. I also find that alerting buyers about the insurance status of their package results in shipments not being reported lost or damaged. I'll update buyers by assuring them that "their package should arrive safely and that if their are any problems to just let me know so I can alert the postal authorities and make a claim." There's no threat there. It's worked well for me over many years.
