Hey everyone,
I recently bought large lot of AD&D books and box sets, and while checking them over and updating my collection spreadsheet, I noticed a difference between printings of the World of Greyhawk folios that is not listed on the Acaeum page for the World of Greyhawk folios and box sets:
World of GreyhawkAs you can see on the picture for the 1st - 3rd printing of the Gazetteer below, the words "
Another fine product from TSR Hobbies, Inc., P.O. Box 756, Lake Geneva, WI 53147" appear to be in a different font and much lighter (and look very similar to the stamped copyright issue). Also, it doesn't appear to be straight nor centered very well on the white border:

As for the picture for the 4th printing of the Gazetteer below, the placement of the words "
Another fine product from TSR Hobbies, Inc., P.O. Box 756, Lake Geneva, WI 53147" appear to have been corrected, and the font switched to one consistent with the rest of the booklet:

It should be noted that the differences noted above
can be seen provided you look at the scans provided on the page, but they aren't
specifically listed in the printing notes (and therefore might be overlooked by collectors when making comparisons between printings).
I contacted Plaag who suggested that I should put up a post here to start a discussion about it. So ... what are your thoughts? Did I find something of note?
Regards,
Terry / LMD
EDIT - I should mention that I can take pics of my own books if required.
