It surprises me a bit that Lorraine would have signed anything.  From just about everything I've read about her - and from what those who worked directly with her have reported - she despised the hobby and gamers in general.  And didn't feel that much different about her employees at TSR.  Given that it seems uncharacteristic of her to sign something for a fan -  much less give out personally signed holiday cards to a bunch of artists and game designers working on the game she hated.

When you say Christmas cards, do you mean like, corporate cards for the employees?  Or some kind of promotion?  Corporate cards I could believe, and in that case I bet they were just stamped and mailed out by an underling, just based on reports about her personality.
